By the end of the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”, the province’s coal enterprises were consolidated from 340 to less than 50, and small coal mines were consolidated from 485 to less than 200, and the coal production of the two major groups, Kaiyuan and Jizhong Energy, was expected to account for the province’s output. The proportion increased to more than 90%.

In fact, the reporter learned that prior to the introduction of merger and reorganization opinions in Hebei, the National Energy Administration had stated that it “will take various measures to protect the stable supply of coal in the current and second half of the year, including accelerating the merger and reorganization of coal mining enterprises.”

It is reported that with the gradual advancement of merger and reorganization of coal enterprises and the integration of coal resources this year, new coal production capacity will be gradually released in Shanxi, Henan and other provinces.
