Recently, the National Technical Committee on Measurement and Management Metrology and Measurement Technology Committee of Energy Efficiency Labeling and Measurement and the National Legal System Management and Metrology Technical Committee Metrology Instrument Software Working Group were established in Beijing. Sub-committees and working group secretariats are affiliated with China Academy of Metrology.

The Energy Efficiency Labeling Sub-committee was approved by the AQSIQ in May 2011 and is the only technical committee on energy measurement in the country. The sub-committees mainly work on three aspects: the formulation of energy efficiency measurement and testing specifications, energy efficiency measurement and testing of other energy-using products, and other energy measurement work. The sub-committee is not limited to the measurement and inspection of energy-efficiency label products, but will also participate in energy measurement more extensively, and provide scientific and powerful technical support for the measurement administrative departments.

The software working group will work on the revision of the technical specifications of measuring instruments in the field of measuring instrument software. It is mainly responsible for the revision of measurement software specifications for measuring instruments and organizes the implementation of the software measurement technical specifications for measuring instruments.
