First, release water too early or do not put cooling water.

Before the flameout, run at idle speed. When the temperature of the cooling water drops below 60 °C, the water is not hot, and then the fire is released. If the cooling water is released too early, the body will suddenly shrink and crack when the temperature is high. When the temperature is lower than -4 °C, be sure to let off the cooling water in the diesel cooling water tank, because the ice will increase the volume of ice at -4 °C, and the cooling radiator will be damaged due to the expansion of the volume.

Second, just use fuel.

The low temperature in winter makes the fluidity of diesel oil worse, the viscosity increases, and it is not easy to spray, resulting in poor atomization and deterioration of combustion, resulting in a decrease in the power and economic performance of the diesel engine. Therefore, when selecting oil at low temperature, try to choose light diesel oil with a low viscosity, low freezing point and good fire performance. Generally, the freezing point of the diesel engine should be lower than the local current season temperature of 7-10 °C.

Third, use the open flame to help start.

The air filter cannot be removed, and the cotton yarn is ignited with diesel oil to make a igniting material placed in the intake pipe to perform combustion-supporting start. In this way, during the starting process, the dusty air of the outside will be directly sucked into the cylinder without being filtered, causing abnormal wear of the piston, the cylinder and the like, and the diesel engine may be rough and damage the machine. Fourth, the startup method is not appropriate.

In the low temperature environment, some workers are able to quickly start the diesel engine, and often use the non-normal starting method of waterless start (first start, then add cooling water). This practice can cause serious damage to the machine and should be banned. The correct preheating method is: firstly cover the heat preservation hood on the water tank, open the drain valve, continuously inject 60-70 °C clean soft water into the water tank, and touch the water flowing out of the drain valve to feel the hot feeling, then close the drain valve. Fill the water tank with clean soft water of 90-100 ° C and shake the crankshaft so that the moving parts are properly pre-lubricated before starting.

5. Low temperature load operation.

After the diesel engine started to catch fire, some workers could not wait to immediately put into the load. Diesel engines that are on fire for a long time, because of the low temperature of the body, the viscosity of the oil is large, and the oil is not easily charged into the friction surface of the moving pair, which may cause serious wear of the machine. In addition, the plunger spring, the valve spring and the injector spring are also susceptible to breakage due to "cold brittleness". Therefore, when the diesel engine starts to catch fire when the temperature is low, it should be idling at a low medium speed for a few minutes. When the temperature of the cooling water reaches 60 °C, it is put into the load operation.

Six, do not pay attention to the body insulation.

When the temperature is low, it is easy to cause excessive cooling of the diesel generator set during operation. Therefore, the heat preservation is the key to using the diesel engine in a low temperature environment. Therefore, the diesel engine used should be equipped with a cold insulation device such as a heat insulation cover and a heat insulation curtain.
