Startup company Droople develops smart flowmeters to save water

Droople's technology can also help operators of heating and sanitation systems and help reduce maintenance costs. For example, according to current health and safety regulations, buildings must be replaced with filters on their water dispensers and coffee machines after a certain amount of water is supplied. With smart flow meters, building operators can easily track how much water has passed through the filter and predict when it needs to be replaced, which means they can develop the most effective maintenance schedules and routes for technicians.
Because smart flowmeters run on batteries, collect relatively little data and transfer their collected data over LoRaWAN, the Droople's system requires very little power, which means the meter can run for three to five years without any maintenance.
