In the process of China's economic transformation in the future, there are four obvious trends that will affect the development of the heavy truck market.
On November 3, the 2015 International Forum on Heavy Commercial Vehicles hosted by China Automotive News was held in Beijing. Xu Changming, director of the Center for Economic Research at the National Information Center, said at the forum that there are four obvious trends that will affect the development of the domestic heavy truck market.
In his speech entitled “Economic Transition and Heavy Truck Marketsâ€, Xu Changming analyzed that in the process of China’s economic transformation in the future, there are four obvious trends that will affect the development of the heavy truck market.
The four trends are: First, the potential economic growth rate is declining; Second, the growth power conversion, that is, from export pull to domestic demand, from investment pull to consumption pull; Third, industrial restructuring and upgrading; Fourth, market forces strengthened.
Xu Changming explained that these four trends work together to mean that the future heavy truck market will present two important features: low sales growth and accelerated product technology upgrades.
Xu Changming believes that the heavy-duty card market will rebound after the economic structure adjustment is in place in the future, but the market growth rate can only reach 3%-4%, which is lower than the GDP growth rate by 2-3 percentage points.
