According to an external report, German Continental Group stated on September 10, 2012 that in order to effectively use a good market environment, Continental Group plans to issue US$500 million US dollar-denominated bonds .

Wolfgang Schaefer, Continental’s chief financial officer, said in a statement: “Our additional investment in the United States is what prompted us to issue US dollar-denominated bonds for the first time.”

The Continental Group hopes to use net income to pay its outstanding consortium loans in advance. The loan was originally scheduled to expire in May 2014. The specific issuance volume and conditions of bonds are expected to be decided within the next few days.

The joint bookrunners for this bond issue include Credit Agricole CIB, BofA Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank, HSBC HSBC, JPMorgan and Royal Bank of Scotland RBS.
