In 2005, the total import and export of construction machinery products in China reached US$6.018 billion, an increase of 4.3%. Among them, the import volume was 3.071 billion U.S. dollars, a decrease of 21.5%; the export volume was 2.945 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 58.9%. China's construction machinery market has become a market with considerable development and vitality in the world construction machinery market.
Product import and export
Under the background of the slow growth of the total sales scale of the construction machinery market in China, the import of most large-scale key and general-purpose construction machinery products imported from construction machinery in 2005 showed negative growth (see the table for the host import and export details). It can be seen that the import of forklifts and graders still shows an increasing trend: the number of forklift trucks imported was 17,218, an increase of 15.4%, and that of graders imported was 118, an increase of 380%.
Analysis of the reasons for the rapid growth of exports
Since the macro regulation and control in 2004, the growth of the domestic construction machinery market has slowed down, and the market pressure of China's construction machinery enterprises (including foreign-funded enterprises) has increased. These pressures have become the driving force for China's construction machinery enterprises to enter the international market, and since 2004, international The construction machinery market began to rebound and became China's export traction for construction machinery.
In addition, the advantages of Chinese construction machinery manufacturing enterprises began to implement the internationalization strategy. The advantageous enterprises have made important progress in exporting their products to international markets, such as XCMG, Shantui, Liugong, Xiagong, Hecha, and Yujia. Enterprises such as loaders, bulldozers, cranes, road rollers, forklifts, excavators, and graders have become important products for exporters, such as Chai, Changlin, Sany Heavy Industry, and Dingsheng Tiangong.
Of course, the contribution made by China’s international brands and foreign-funded enterprises’ products for exports cannot be discounted. The export of mainframes and parts and components of Xuzhou Caterpillar, Komatsu Yamaguchi, Yantai Daewoo, and Hefei Hitachi increased rapidly. In 2005, the foreign-funded enterprises’ exports of US$1.3641 billion increased by 56%, accounting for 46% of the industry’s exports, and became the main force of exports.
International strategic transformation
The "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" will be the key period for the strategic transition of China's construction machinery industry. China's construction machinery industry will shift from "domestic demand" to "international", from "scale increase" to "core capacity growth", and from "product" "Brand" transition, and ultimately achieve the transition from "manufacturing power" to "manufacturing power."
Construction Machinery Market Accelerates Industrial Structure Adjustment and Internationalization
In the past two years, China's construction machinery market has accelerated the pace of industrial restructuring and internationalization. According to customs statistics (81 types of construction machinery products are coded by commodities, including 69 host products and 12 component products), import and export volume continued to increase in 2005, and imports showed negative growth. Exports achieved a breakthrough growth, and exports and imports accounted for the first time.
