In October 2010, at the 58th meeting of ISO/TC45 held in the Netherlands, Liu Huichun, director of the Shenyang Rubber Institute Standardization Center and secretary of the National Rubber Standards Committee, won the project and was designated as the project leader.
The drafting of the international standard lasted for more than three years. The standard specifies the material, structure and dimensions of the rubber hose used in the automotive turbocharger system, connected to the air filter, turbocharger, intercooling system and internal combustion engine. And tolerances, physical properties, test methods and frequency, etc., and the hoses are classified according to operating conditions such as operating temperature and working pressure.
The international standard was unanimously approved by the member states at the time of voting, so it is not necessary to make a final draft of the International Standards (FDIS) and can go directly to the release stage.
