Jia Xinguang, executive director of the China Automobile Dealers Association, said that the national standard should not be postponed. The key is to solve the oil problem. The implementation of the fourth national emission standard for heavy-duty diesel vehicles may impact commercial vehicles, especially heavy trucks. Dong Yang, executive vice president and secretary-general of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, said that if the standards are implemented as scheduled, they will face the problem of inadequate supply of denitrification agent for the four diesel oils in the producing country and regulatory issues for the universal use of the National IV diesel. “We are also trying to figure out how to implement the policy. Once the national standard is implemented, SCR (selective catalytic reduction) will be added behind the vehicles using common-rail technology. Now common rail technology and SCR are mostly held by foreign manufacturers. Common rail and SCR, there is no way to meet the requirements of domestic car prices.
