Sinopec and Mitsubishi Jointly Expand High Value-Added Products
Recently, Sinopec Mitsubishi Chemical Polycarbonate (Beijing) Co., Ltd., a joint venture between Sinopec Corp. and Japan’s Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation and Mitsubishi Engineering Plastics Co., Ltd., held an unveiling ceremony. The company's joint venture capital is about 720 million yuan, and the production plant is built in Fangshan District, Beijing. It is planned to complete the construction in 2010 and will produce and sell chemical products for auto parts and electrical appliances. This indicates that Sinopec is continuously optimizing the product structure of the chemical business segment and further expanding into high-value-added products.
