China's lead and zinc ore and more copper, iron and other metals associated. For example, in the ore dressing test of Shougang Mi-Tie mixed lead-zinc iron ore , due to the partial oxidation of lead or zinc in the ore, the content of lead, zinc and sulphur in iron concentrate is high, it is difficult to use iron ore in the general magnetic separation and flotation process. The lead and zinc content is reduced to below 0.04% (steelmaking level).

After detailed experimental research, the Changsha Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy used the grinding-magnetic separation-fine grinding-magnetic separation-flotation-magnetic separation-concentration-acid picking-smelting-smelting process to obtain the Fe grade 71.58% and Pb content. The iron concentrate with 0.024%, Zn content of 0.027% and S content of 0.12% has an iron recovery rate of 81.76%. The iron concentrates have reached the requirements of direct steelmaking. In the lead-zinc recovery test study, according to the characteristics of the partial oxidation of lead and zinc in the ore, our hospital has carried out detailed research and proposed that under the condition of selecting suitable inhibitors and activators, the use of preferential floating lead and floating zinc will eventually float. The test process finally obtained a lead-zinc mixed concentrate with a Pb grade of 13.09%, a recovery rate of 27.49% and a Zn grade of 23.05%, a recovery rate of 15.49%, a zinc concentrate with a Zn grade of 52.36%, a recovery rate of 40.63%, and an S grade of 44.37. %, a sulfur concentrate with a recovery rate of 40.78%. Lead, zinc and sulfur resources have also been well recovered.
