At present, South Korea's Hankook Tire, which ranks among the top three in terms of sales in China, told the reporter of the First Financial Daily on January 6th that in 2011, the company’s domestic sales volume will be approximately 19 million to 20 million.

If it includes exports, its total production and sales in China in 2011 will be about 29.5 million.

A management of Hankook Tire also revealed to reporters that in 2011, the sales of all tires in the Chinese region were approximately 45 million, of which Hankook Tire's passenger car replacement tire sales were 5.6 million. It is estimated that the sales growth of tires for all domestic companies will be around 10% in 2012, and Hankook Tire hopes to obtain more than twice the increase in domestic tire sales.

It is also understood that Hankook Tire will continue to build nearly 300 brand franchise stores in 2012 and implement a high-end brand strategy. At present, the company has already equipped Audi cars with high-grade tires in China. In Europe, BMW has also been its customer.
