On the 15th, along with FAW's 56th birthday, two self-developed high-tech CA6GV petrol engines and CA4DD diesel engines were successfully ignited at the FAW Group Technology Center, marking China's high-end gasoline engine for gasoline engines and high-end light vehicle diesel engines. Independent design and development technology has reached a new level.

CA6GV gasoline engine has four displacements of 2.4L, 2.5L, 2.8L and 3.0L, which can meet the requirements of Hongqi sedan for C-class, D-class and MPV/SUV independent high-end powertrain. This engine not only has a number of new technologies and new structures for the domestic initiative, but also reaches the advanced level of similar international products. Its sophisticated structure and excellent performance fully embodies the superior research and development capabilities of China FAW in the field of passenger car engines. After China's first V12 engine, China FAW achieved another breakthrough in the self-development of passenger car engines.

CA4DD diesel engine has two displacements of 2.5L and 3.0L. It can match N2 light trucks, light passengers, and N1 light trucks, SUVs, and MPVs. It is an ideal power platform for FAW Group to replace light vehicles. This diesel engine adopts a number of domestic first-generation technologies such as dual overhead camshafts, which is another breakthrough in the design of independent light-duty diesel engines.

The successful ignition of FAW Group's CA6GV gasoline engine and CA4DD diesel engine fills the gap between mid-to-high-end passenger car gasoline engines and high-end light-duty vehicle diesel engines. This symbolizes that FAW Group's engine development capability and technology are mature, the engine platform is becoming more complete, and FAW Group has developed its own business.
