Detailed domestic and foreign passenger cars with small displacement engines

<

In recent years, domestic and foreign vehicle companies and engine companies have turned their attention to small-displacement engines. "Small appetite, enough power" small-displacement engine has become a trend in the passenger vehicle field.

VW 1.0 l, 1.2T engine

Volkswagen is one of the leader in the development and application of small-displacement engines for passenger cars considered, the public had worked on a variety of platforms EA111 engine 0.8 liters, 1.0 liters , 1.3 liters, 1.4 liters small displacement engine. In the domestic market, Volkswagen mainly pushes the 1.4TSI engine. Currently used in the European market are 1.0L and 1.2T, which are equipped with Beatles, Volkswagen Up, and other models. Volkswagen currently uses the "blue drive" technology for the two small-displacement engines. After stopping technical and braking energy recovery, Volkswagen's small-displacement engine has a good performance in terms of fuel economy. The Volkswagen Up, fitted with a 1.0-litre, small-displacement engine, consumes 4.5 liters per 100 kilometers.

In addition, Volkswagen had planned to replace the domestically used 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine with a 1.2T engine, but currently the Volkswagen small-displacement engine is used only on imported models in China.

Ford Ecoboost

The Ford Ecoboost series was introduced in 2009. It is Ford's brand of turbocharged and direct injection technology engine products. The series currently has four products, namely the three-cylinder 1.0-liter, four-cylinder 1.6, 2.0-liter and a V6 engine. The series of 1.0-liter engine is currently widely used in the Fox, Carnival, Wing, C-MAX and other models are used.

The Ecoboost series engine combined with turbocharged, direct injection in the cylinder, and lightweight design won the 2012 International Engine Award. Ford intends to use the Ecoboost 1.0-liter engine to expand its application on Chinese small-displacement engine models.

Great Wall 1.5T

The 1.5-liter small-displacement engine currently used by the Great Wall is divided into two power versions, which are fitted on the Great Wall C50 and Haval H6 models respectively. The 1.5-liter engine is based on the Great Wall's original GW4G15 naturally aspirated engine. Unlike other small-displacement engines, the Great Wall 1.5T only uses turbocharger, but instead of direct injection, it still uses port injection.

In addition to this 1.5-liter supercharged engine that is put into production, Great Wall is still developing two small-displacement engines of 1.0 liters and 1.3 liters, and it is expected to be fitted to various models such as the Great Wall M4 and C20R.

Beiqi A150

Beiqi's 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, codenamed the A150, uses turbocharging and in-cylinder direct injection technology, as well as start-stop technology and electronic water pumps. In terms of engine design, the A150 adopts a lightweight design. The integrated design of the engine head and exhaust manifold makes the volume even smaller and can be used in different models.

It is reported that models equipped with A150 engines are expected to be available this year.

BYD 1.5TI

Domestic autonomous vehicle companies are also conducting R&D and application of small-displacement engines. The BYD 1.5TI, like many small-displacement engines, uses turbocharging and in-cylinder direct injection. It is currently used on models such as BYD Rui Rui and Speed Rui. Earlier, it was reported that BYD will be equipped with a 1.2T engine in the new car, but it is still in the test.
