Comprehensive wiring cable principle and type analysis

Principles and Types of Cabling Cables Outdoor cables are often used between buildings to meet the special environmental requirements of the installation site. The three common installation methods are underground cables (installed in pipes) installed in the pipes and holes in the underground system. They contain hollow or solid cables and have a protective layer as a jacket. Directly buried cables are placed in the trench without pipe protection. The composite wells have additional protective layers. Overhead cables are placed on the poles between the buildings. Depending on the environment, there are many features, such as lightning and rat-biting protection.

Each copper lead core used in the integrated wiring system is annealed. Heat treatment involves a special heating process during the manufacturing process that reduces distortion and vibration stress in a specific environment.

In copper strands, some very fine gauge lines are double or multiple strands together to form a single line. Hard wires are easier to dry and twisted wires are more flexible.

Wires enclose a layer of insulation, called an insulator, to prevent conduction between the wires or between the wire and the environment. In this way, the current can be controlled to flow on the wire. The insulator used on most of the cables is thermal plastic, which is a kind of plastic that becomes soft when cooled and hardened under heat.

Some cables are sheathed with insulating material around the center conductor so that the outer layers of the strands in the cable are insulated from the outside so that the finished cable is quite protected when subjected to pressure and heat. The roundness of the cable is improved so that it has a well-shaped appearance, and the insulation of the cable core and the surrounding electric carrier is also improved. The core protection is also designed to be flame-retardant and resistive.

The last layer of the outer package used for protection is called a jacket, which surrounds the cable cores and protects them from mechanical damage, moisture, and other harmful objects. As with other insulator materials, cable jackets can also improve the physical, electrical, or chemical properties of the cable insulation and the performance of the entire circuit. In certain quiet conditions, the outer ring of the wire-wrapped outer jacket is connected to the outer jacket to form a protective jacket.

According to the latest standards, cable jackets for integrated wiring systems must use LSOH (Low Smoke Oxygen) materials. This means that the smoke emitted by the cable during combustion is low and the toxic halogen is zero. Therefore, when designing the integrated wiring system, we should use low-smoke, non-toxic, flame-retardant cables.
